Fused Glass Woven Fabric Bowl
Glass That Looks Like It Was Woven
At first glance, you might think this is a woven textile basket — but look closer. This extraordinary handcrafted bowl is made entirely from fused glass rods, meticulously arranged in a crosshatch weave pattern and kiln-fired into a stunning, sculptural bowl form.
Dozens of individual glass rods in a vibrant rainbow of colors — red, orange, yellow, green, teal, blue, black, and white — are layered and woven together before being slumped in the kiln to create the organic, ruffled bowl shape. The result is a piece that is as much fine art as it is functional object.
Use it as a catch-all on a desk or entryway table, a centerpiece on a dining table, or simply display it as the gallery-worthy sculpture it is. At approximately 4x4x4 inches, it has a satisfying presence without overwhelming a space.
